Pastel on paper, 20″ x 27″, 2015
One day I was painting on the coast, when the fog rolled in. The covering mist narrowed my focus until I was concentrating on just the patterns created by water flowing through the salt marsh grasses. Adding life to the scene were shorebirds flying in and about the marsh.
The atmosphere was fleeting though, for the fog soon lifted and the sun came out.
